Yip Can Cook

Every Wednesday afternoon at school, we will have some activities.  last term, my brother and I can only join the paper cutting class.  That was because there were too many people in other activities.  We thought it was very bored because we already know how to do it.  This term, we join our favourite activity, Yip Can Cook which we longed to join it last term.  Mr. Yip will teach us how to cook easy and yummy food in English.  Last Wednesday,  Mr. Yip taught us how to cook curry fish balls and meat balls and spaghetti in the canteen.  However, he only show us how to cook curry fish balls and meat balls.  Mr. yip will show us how to cook mayonnaise spaghetti with ham, onion and mushroom next time.  At last, we ate two fish balls and two meat balls each.  They were really yummy.  I hope I can learn to cook more dishes.

Lego Ninjago

When we walked to the bus stop after visiting the Rainbow Warrior II last Saturday, a ToysRus staff gave me a magazine about the new toys in ToysRus.  I saw many Lego sets in it.  Lego Ninjogo is one of the newest sets and has different combinations.  There are tops and mini figures in each of these combinations.  First, put the mini figure on the top with some weapons, then turn it.  When the  weapons in the mini figure’s hand on the top hits other tops, you win.  I think it is a very interesting game and I hope I can have them.    

Last Saturday

Last Saturday, I went to visit the Rainbow Warrior II with Dad, Mum and my brother after having the football lesson.

The Rainbow Warrior II is a ship of the Greenpeace and helped protect the environment.  It is dark green with two-rainbows- and-doves patterns.  It has already retired and will travel to different places to let people visit it.

When we got to the pier, we lined up on the dock for a long time.  Then, we embarked on the ship.  Before getting onto the ship, we saw some pictures about the work Greenpeace and the Rainbow Warrior II did.  The Greenpeace staff gave us some cards and some magazines too.  The magazine said that the Greenpeace are going to build a new ship, the beautiful Rainbow warrior III.

When we got onto the ship, I saw some crews.  They had been working with Rainbow Warrior II for many years.  The most special thing I saw there was a beautiful wooden dolphin on the bow.  The crew said it was made by a German.

At last, a Greenpeace staffer gave me a grey pencil made from old newspapers. I felt happy that day.

Swine Flu

This month, my school has some work to prevent the Swine Flu.  When I get to school in the morning, I line up to measure my temperature and use sanitizer to clean my hands.  Then, I put on the mask.  I hate wearing masks because I think it is hard to breath in a mask.  At recess, all the students have to stay in the classroom.  Many students were happy when they heard that.  I was one of them.  It was because we didn’t need to waste the recess time for walking up and down the stairs.  It often takes us fifteen minutes.  However, some students were unhappy because they couldn’t play in the open playground.  At lunchtime, we eat in the classroom too.  The teacher is with us.  I also felt happy when I heard that because it was windy in the canteen.  This is how my school prevent the Swine Flu.

My Birthday

Last Friday was my brother’s and my birthday.  I had my leadership training programme at school in the morning that day.  I felt a bit bored because I knew most of what the teacher had taught me.  I thought the most useful thing that the teacher taught was the Creative Problem Solving.  I also played some interesting games with my classmates.  However, I forgot all what we played.

At one o’clock, I came home from school for lunch.  I ate very fast because I had to go to the string orchestra at school after forty minutes.  And I already forgot what I ate.  I only remembered the food was yummy but not spectacular.

Then, I went to school again.  I played Brandenburg Concerto No. two, Menuet I and Concert March.  I like the Concert March best.  At last, I hurried home with excitement because I could open my birthday presents.

When I got home, I opened one of my favourite toys, the Lego World Racers Race 4.  Race 4 was “gator swamp race”.  In the box were a big red boat from Backyard Blaster, a big green boat from Team Extreme, a crocodile and a World Racers staff.  The wonderful present was from my grandma.  I also got a set of mini air hockey and a set of mini snooker from my uncle.  After that, I used two hours to build my Lego World Racers gator swamp race.  When I finished, my brother and I watched Astro Boy on DVD.

About six o’clock, Dad, Mum, my brother and I went to barbecue for dinner in Causeway Bay by MTR train.  My grandma, uncles, aunties and cousins were there too.  I ate some meat balls, a lot of sausages, a lot of toasts and a piece of pork with honey.  Then, I played my grey remote control toy car.  It had a mini helicopter on its back.  It was my birthday present from Dad and Mum.  I played with my uncle’s brown little dog too.  His name was Sora.  It is a great runner.  Last, I ate my birthday mango chestnut cake.  after a while, my uncle and auntie gave me a Lego Star Wars Brick master book as a present.

Finally, Dad, Mum, my brother and I rode the bus number 914 home.  After that, I built my Star Wars Desert Fight inside the Lego Star Wars Brick master book.  At one o’clock in the morning, I went to bed.

Chinese New Year Holiday

On Chinese New Year’s Eve, Mum, my brother and I went to grandma’s  place at six o’clock.  Almost immediately, My brother and I hurried to the sofa and watched the television.  Later on, my dad, uncles and aunties came to Grandma’s place too.  We had dinner together which is a Chinese tradition on that day.  In the middle of the dinner, Granddad came back to join us for dinner but he left early to drive the taxi.  After that, we went on to watch the television.  Then, my brother and I played Google Map on the computer.  We navigated to our church from my home and back to home again.  After that, we charted our route to Tsim Sha Tsui but got lost soon.  When we finished, Dad, Mum, my brother and I went to the Chinese New Year fair.  There were a lot of people.  We did not buy anything.  I felt tired and we went home.  When I went to bed, I still felt quite full.

The next day, we had sticky rice cake, water chestnut cake, tora cake, turnip cake and tea for breakfast.  After that, I played with my mini yellow bouncy ball which I picked up on a street in Sydney last summer holiday.  I can play many games with the ball -- for example, the mini yellow bouncy ball can be played as a basketball, football, badminton, bowling and more.  I felt a little exhausted after playing it .  Then, we went to Grandma’s place again.  When Dad, Mum and Grandma left, my brother and I watched a movie.  It was called Monster VS Alien.  I watched it before when I flew to London on a study trip during the summer holiday two years ago.  It was exciting and funny but I felt bored because I had watched it before.  When  Dad, Mum and Grandma came back, I played the Google Map on the computer again.  This time, I navigated to the Hong Kong International Airport.  At night, we had dinner in a restaurant nearby with my uncles and aunties.  I did not eat a lot because I was very full.  I had a joyful day.

On the second day of the Chinese Newhappy Year, we had sticky rice cake, water chestnut cake, tora cake, turnip cake and tea for breakfast. Then, I did some holiday homework.  In the evening, Dad, Mum, my brother and I went to my auntie’s place in Tsing Yi by MTR train.  I ate some snacks there.  At night, we had dinner in a restaurant nearby.  The food was yummy.  I felt happy that day.

On the third day of the Chinese New Year, we had sticky rice cake, water chestnut cake, tora cake, turnip cake and tea for breakfast again!  Then, I did some holiday homework and studied.  At lunchtime, we went to Yum Cha in a restaurant on Nathan Road with Grandma.  Then, we went to the Cherry Street Park to take some photos.  We also caught eight ants and a mantis  which we put in the Ant Artist box Dad, my brother and I bought it in Toysrus before.  I felt half bored and half happy that day.

The next day, we went to church in the morning.  My brother and I did not have the Awana class because it was off during Chinese New Year holiday.  However, we had the service.  In the afternoon, Dad, Mum, my brother and I had Yum Cha in a restaurant with my uncles, aunties and cousins.  After that, we went to my auntie’s place.  My brother, cousins and I watched the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.  It was great.  About four o’clock,  Dad, Mum, my brother and I went to a home for the aged in Kwun Tong which my great grandma lived.  She is very old now.  I also ate some snacks and watched a cartoon on the television there.  It was Pokamon.  In the evening, we rode a taxi to my auntie’s place in Ngau Tau Kok.  Again we watched another movie, the Astro boy.  At dinnertime, we went to a “daipaidong” restaurant nearby.  I had a satisfying day. 

I had a happy holiday except for eating too many    sticky rice cake, water chestnut cake, tora cake and turnip cake for breakfast.  And I found that the eight ants and the mantis had a fight on the fourth day of the Chinese New Year.  The mantis won and all the ants died.

My Happy Sleepover at Grandma’s Place

This Monday, I went to my grandma’s place.  At five o’clock, Mum, my brother and I left our home.  When we arrived there, Grandma gave me a mini pizza for tea time.  It was yummy.  Then, I watched some cartoons on the television and computer.  At night, my granddad, uncles and aunties came to Grandma’s place to have dinner too.  The dishes were tasty. My uncles ate a lot of chicken wings because they had not eaten them for a long time. At last, I drank some apple juice.  After that, my granddad, uncles and aunties left.  Grandma and I watched some TV news and went to bed.  I could not sleep soon because I felt excited.

The next day, I woke up at eight o’clock.  I ate three pieces of turnip cake.  It was a popular food in Chinese New Year.  Then, my grandma had to take my cousin to see the doctor because she fell sick.  When my grandma left, I played chess with my granddad.  My grandma came back at noon and we had Yum Cha in a restaurant  nearby.  After that, my grandma and I went to her church.  When she was having the service, I read the Lego books.  At last, we rode a bus to the Olympian City.  I wanted to have tea time at the McDonald’s but it was already out of business.  So, we bought a box of strawberries, mushrooms and some grapes from Taste and went to another McDonald’s.  I ate a big, delicious hamburger.  Its ingredients included two pieces of long corn bread, honey, fried fish, cheese, lettuce, mustard and tomatoes.  However, I did not know what was its English name.  It was one of the M Selections’ food. My grandma ate a Fish-O-let.  We shared a packet of French fries and a cup of cola.  I felt very full.  At last, I went home at six o’clock.  I had a happy sleepover at my grandma’s place.
